Welcome to Blissful Beginnings Birth
Blissful Beginnings is a comprehensive home birth practice staffed by Florida Licensed Midwives.
We focus on a natural approach to pregnancy and childbirth, while still providing our clients with a level of care that meets current obstetrical standards.
We provide the Midwifery Model of Care and offer a range of services and educational opportunities which will enable you to actively participate in the decision making process. We provide a full spectrum of women’s health services, from puberty to menopause, with a holistic approach to your care. We believe that pregnancy and childbirth are normal life events, and that for healthy women, midwifery care is an excellent alternative to the fragmented obstetric system. As such, we have an approach of minimal intervention and maximum education. Research has shown that for women who are healthy and low-risk, an approach which de-medicalizes birth restores dignity and humanity to the experience of childbearing. Our goal is to provide you with informed consent regarding testing, routine procedures, and common interventions so that you can make educated choices about the care you receive.
Certified Professional Midwives or CPM’s are certified through the North American Registry of Midwives or NARM and are required to obtain additional licensure in the state of Florida. CPM’s are considered to be the experts in providing care for low risk pregnancies and healthy well-women care. For more information about the kind of care that midwives provide, as well as research based evidence that supports the midwifery model of care, please visit Citizens for Midwifery- the only national, consumer-based group promoting the Midwives Model of Care.
We are currently accepting maternity benefits at our discretion on a limited basis as well as clients with affordable self-payment plans. Your initial consultation is complimentary and will allow you time to have questions answered and to experience what midwifery care is all about. Please consider bringing your partner, a friend, or whomever you plan to have supporting you during your labor and birth.
